It is my privilege to write this foreword in appreciation of Dr. Chayanupatkul’smost recent book entitled “Liver Physiology and Clinical Application”. I first met Dr.Chayanupatkul 10 years ago when she asked for my advice regarding her plan to pursue Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology training in the United States. I was pleased to hear when she came back to Thailand after training to be a part of our Gastroenterology team at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. Dr. Chayanupatkul is both a physiologist and a clinician, and this book is a great example of how you apply the basic science knowledge to clinical practice. This book will be a useful reference for medical students, post-graduate students, fellowship trainees, general practitioners, and specialists.
